Sydney MEtro
This series documents multiple stages of the Sydney Metro program across Metro Northwest, City & Southwest and Metro West, photographed over a period spanning almost a decade.
The work combines construction and completion imagery across stations, precincts, tunnelling interfaces and wider urban environments, capturing the scale and transformation of one of Australia’s largest public transport infrastructure programs.
Several images from the Metro Northwest section were photographed while working on the project in an engineering role during the early stages of delivery, providing a longer-term perspective on the evolution of the network and surrounding urban environment over time.
Produced using a combination of tripod, handheld and drone photography, the approach focused on clear and consistent documentation across a range of active rail, construction and operational environments.
The project forms part of an ongoing body of work exploring major transport and civic infrastructure projects through photography.
